Best AI tools to write Instagram Reels scripts in your own voice

The best AI tool for writing Instagram Reels scripts in your own voice depends on what else you post. If Instagram is your only platform, Octupie is built for exactly this: it learns from your own Reels and watches your niche for you. If you also post on TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube or email, CreatorsCompanion writes all of them from one voice setup. If you would rather pay nothing and do the setup yourself, Claude or ChatGPT with five of your real scripts in a Project is a solid start.

We make CreatorsCompanion, so weigh this accordingly. Competitor prices and features come from each company’s own website, checked on November 8, 2026, and are stated as of November 2026. We did not run a hands-on quality test of every tool, so there are no scores here. Confirm prices before you buy.

What should “in your own voice” mean when you compare tools?

Most tools now say they write in your voice. To tell them apart, ask three questions.

  • Does it read your actual scripts and captions, or only a description you typed? Adjectives like "friendly" or "bold" tell a model very little. Your own sentences tell it a lot.
  • Can you see what it is using? If you can read and edit the samples, you can fix a bad one.
  • Does it keep spoken and written voice apart? A Reel is said out loud, so it needs your spoken rhythm. A newsletter sample pulls the draft toward written sentences.

Then test it yourself. Read the draft out loud once. Anywhere you stumble or think “I would never say that” is a place the tool missed. That one minute tells you more than any comparison table, this one included.

What does each tool do well, and where does it fall short?

CreatorsCompanion(this is us)

You import up to five of your own posts from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or X, or paste your own, and they become the voice examples for that format. You can read and edit each one. A script comes with three hooks, on-screen text and a caption, built on one of our post architectures (23 across all formats), which Auto picks for your idea. You can start from an idea, a voice note or a link.

Octupie

Instagram is the whole product: “the outlier feed and the scripts are built for Instagram reels.” It builds a style profile from your Reels, captions and any writing samples, and watches accounts in your niche for Reels doing far better than they usually do. Paid plans add breakdowns of why a Reel worked and a chat for planning. It says plainly that it does not film, edit or post for you, and the free plan has no scripts.

ChatGPT

Custom instructions are available on every plan and apply to all your chats, and Projects keep files and instructions together. That is enough to hold your samples and rules, and you do the rest. OpenAI has scheduled custom GPTs to retire on December 11, 2026 and is moving them to plugins, so a Project is the safer place to start.

Claude

Anthropic’s own guide says to “upload 2-3 pieces that represent your style” and that Claude then “mirrors tone, structure, and phrasing patterns.” The free plan allows up to 5 projects, so you can keep one for Reels. As with ChatGPT, you supply the samples and the source material.

Viuz

It reads your profile, learns your voice and drafts carousels, captions, stories and Reel scripts with a shot list. You approve each post and it schedules to Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X or LinkedIn (personal profiles only). Scheduling is its clear advantage over Octupie and CreatorsCompanion, which leave posting to you. You still film the Reel.

vidIQ

vidIQ’s main tools are for YouTube, and it now has an Instagram section that “writes IG-native scripts grounded in viral Reels” and analyzes what makes a Reel perform. It makes most sense if you already use it for YouTube.

Features as of November 2026. Visit vidIQ

Jasper

Brand Voice lets a team “fine-tune brand settings like voice, tone, style, and visual guidelines” and flags text that drifts off-brand. Its FAQ says it is “built by Marketers for Marketers.” That suits a brand with several writers better than one creator filming Reels.

How do you do this for free with ChatGPT or Claude?

  1. Get the words of five Reels you are proud of. If you spoke them unscripted, our free Instagram Transcript Generator gives you the text without an account. Fix anything it misheard, and keep your filler words and phrasing.
  2. Create a Project. In ChatGPT, select New project in the sidebar, then open the ••• menu and Project settings to add instructions. In Claude, create a project and upload your samples.
  3. Paste the instructions below, then add your five scripts.
  4. Ask for one script on one topic. Read it out loud and mark what you would never say.
  5. Add those corrections to the instructions, so you only make each one once.
Instructions to paste
You write Instagram Reels scripts in my voice. My real scripts are attached. Before writing, study how I open, how long my sentences are, the words I repeat and how I end.

Rules:
- Write for speech: short sentences I can say in one breath.
- Use my words. Avoid phrases that never appear in my samples unless the topic needs them.
- Give me 3 different hooks, then one script of about 30 to 45 seconds, then one call to action.
- If you need a fact or a personal story you do not have, write [ADD STORY] instead of inventing it.

Never use these words: [your list]

If you post now and then, this may be all you need. The cost is your time: you find what is working in your niche yourself, and you repeat the setup for every new format.

Where does CreatorsCompanion fit, and where does it fall short?

We built it for creators who want the research and the writing in one place. You find a post doing well in your niche, repurpose it into a script in your voice, then reuse the idea as a LinkedIn post, X thread, YouTube script, newsletter or carousel.

New accounts get 2,500 free credits once, which covers five Reels scripts at 500 credits each (using a link as the source adds 100). After that, credit packs start at $10 with no subscription, and Pro is $29 a month with 40,000 credits.

Another tool is the better choice in these cases:

  • You want posts scheduled for you. We do not publish or schedule. Viuz does.
  • You only post on Instagram and want many accounts watched. As of November 2026, Octupie’s $29 plan watches up to 75 accounts; our $29 Pro plan tracks 15 creators.
  • You want to keep paying nothing after your first few scripts. Claude and ChatGPT have free plans.
  • You want proof it matches your voice before you start. We have no independent test to show you, so try it on one idea and read the result out loud.

Curious what is working in your niche?

Type your niche and see posts beating their creator’s following on TikTok and Instagram. The check is free and needs no account. If one is worth making, you can sign up and we write your version in your voice. New accounts get 2,500 free credits, and you do not need a card.

Or create a free account and start from your own idea.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI tool to write Instagram Reels scripts in my own voice?

It depends on where you post. For Instagram only, Octupie is the most focused option we found. For several platforms from one voice setup, CreatorsCompanion (we make it). For no cost, Claude or ChatGPT with your own scripts in a Project. We found no independent test of voice matching, so give your shortlist the same idea and read each draft out loud.

Can ChatGPT write Reels scripts in my voice?

Yes, if you give it real samples. Put five of your own scripts and a short list of rules in a Project. Without samples it falls back on a generic style. As of November 2026, OpenAI has scheduled custom GPTs to retire on December 11, 2026, so start with a Project.

Is there a free AI tool for Reels scripts in my voice?

Claude and ChatGPT both have free plans with Projects. CreatorsCompanion gives new accounts 2,500 free credits once, enough for five Reels scripts, and you do not need a card. As of November 2026, Octupie has a free plan with an Instagram audit and tracked competitors, and its scripts need a paid plan.

How many of my scripts does an AI need to learn my voice?

Five good ones is a sensible start. Anthropic’s guide suggests 2 to 3 pieces, and CreatorsCompanion imports up to five per format. Use scripts you wrote or spoke yourself without AI, and use Reels instead of blog posts, because a Reel is spoken.

Do these tools film or edit the Reel for me?

The script tools here leave filming to you. As of November 2026, Octupie says it does not film, edit or post, and Viuz writes the script and shot list while you film. CreatorsCompanion does not edit video either.

Is this list biased?

We make CreatorsCompanion, so weigh it accordingly. We used facts from each company’s own website, linked our sources, and said where another tool is the better pick. We did not test the quality of every tool’s output.
